Position: Assembly Technician - Up To $28/hr HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Assembly Technician

This role focuses on mechanical and electrical assembly, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of manufacturing and production equipment, as well as performing basic industrial and preventative maintenance and building industrial control panels.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly on manufacturing and production equipment to ensure reliable operation.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on production machinery, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs.
  • Carry out basic industrial maintenance tasks, including routine inspections and adjustments on equipment and systems.
  • Execute preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Build and wire industrial control panels according to schematics and 2-line diagrams.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams to support accurate assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of related components.
  • Collaborate with a maintenance team to prioritize tasks, respond to equipment issues, and support production needs.
  • Document work performed, including maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications to equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures and best practices while working with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Essential Skills
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly on manufacturing and production equipment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues on industrial machinery.
  • Ability to perform basic industrial maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Experience building industrial control panels, including wiring and component installation.
  • Strong understanding of electrical maintenance practices in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and 2-line diagrams.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and their application in industrial equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude for working with mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Capability to work effectively in an industrial maintenance setting as part of a team.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Certifications or formal education in maintenance or electrical fields are a strong plus.
  • Experience working with variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems and panel design.
  • Comfort reading and working from detailed schematics, drawings, and diagrams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and production staff.

Work Environment

You will work on a first-shift schedule with a 6:00 a.m. start time as part of a maintenance team of approximately four to six people. The environment is industrial and hands-on, focusing on manufacturing and production equipment, industrial maintenance, and control panel work. Collaboration with teammates is a key part of the daily routine, and you will regularly interact with machinery, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

The dress code includes jeans or work pants, steel-toe footwear, and a professional shirt to ensure safety and a clean, professional appearance on the shop floor.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
