Velociti is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Fleet Maintenance & DOT Compliance Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of our fleet operations and ensure compliance with all applicable DOT and FMCSA regulations. This role is critical to maintaining fleet safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory adherence across the organization. This is not a mechanic role; however, a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, safety standards, and operational readiness is essential.

• Manage vehicle registration, titling, renewals, and insurance documentation
• Maintain accurate and audit-ready fleet records, including maintenance, mileage, and inspections
• Oversee telematics systems and ensure data accuracy
• Ensure vehicles are fully equipped, clean, and ready for deployment

• Maintain U.S. DOT number, MC operating authority, and broker permits
• Manage UCR registration and renewals
• Develop and maintain FMCSA-compliant policies and procedures
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert on DOT regulations
• Partner with legal counsel and compliance vendors to stay current on regulatory changes

• Maintain Driver Qualification Files (DQFs) for all CMV drivers
• Coordinate background checks, MVRs, and certifications
• Administer drug and alcohol testing programs and Clearinghouse compliance
• Ensure compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) and ELD requirements

• Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules
• Coordinate repairs with vendors and monitor service quality
• Track maintenance costs, downtime, and rental usage
• Ensure all vehicles meet safety and performance standards

• Lead fleet and safety onboarding for new hires
• Train drivers on vehicle use, safety expectations, and compliance requirements
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and proper equipment care

• Provide regular reports on fleet condition, compliance status, and trends
• Maintain a compliance calendar for all filings and renewals
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs

• Accuracy and audit-readiness of fleet and compliance records
• Timely completion of all regulatory filings and renewals
• Vehicle readiness and reduced downtime
• Compliance rates across HOS, ELD, and safety programs
• Cost management and operational improvements

• 5+ years of experience in fleet operations, DOT compliance, or transportation management
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations (FMCSRs)
• Experience with DOT registration and compliance processes
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Strong communication and training abilities
• Proficiency with fleet systems and telematics tools
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record

• Experience with ELD systems, HOS tracking, and DQF management
• Familiarity with FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Experience with platforms such as Geotab, Samsara, or J.J. Keller
• Background in data-driven fleet optimization

• Onsite role based in Riverside, MO
• Occasional remote flexibility with prior approval
• Combination of office work and hands‑on vehicle inspections
• Standard Monday–Friday schedule with occasional after‑hours support
