Riverside Medical Group is seeking a Labor Pool Hospitalist physician to join our team at Riverside Smithfield Hospital in Smithfield, Virginia.

Location:

Riverside Smithfield Hospital, Smithfield, Virginia.

Employment Type:

Full Time.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Coordinate with specialists, nurses, and support staff for integrated care.
  • Monitor patient progress, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and adjust treatment plans.
  • Communicate clearly with patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans.
  • Facilitate safe and effective discharge planning and transitions of care.
Qualifications
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience in hospital settings and familiarity with inpatient protocols.
  • Commitment to patient advocacy and continuous quality improvement.

Education & Licensure
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
  • Certification(s) and License(s) – Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Virginia, Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Current DEA Qualifying Number.
  • Ability to make independent decisions regarding patient care.
  • Ability to document appropriately and communicate with appropriate parties in a timely manner.
  • Ability to complete charts in a timely manner.
  • Experienced in diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions.
  • Basic working knowledge of managed care and Medicare population.
