Job Description Billing Coordinator
Heritage Health Network (HHN) is looking for a Billing Coordinator to support day‑to‑day revenue cycle operations, including billing, payment posting, reconciliation, eligibility validation, and revenue tracking.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in healthcare billing or revenue cycle operations. This role is a great fit for someone who can work independently, solve discrepancies, and thrive in a growing healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support billing, payment posting, eligibility validation, encounter tracking, and reconciliation.
- Assist with capitation/PMPM payment reconciliation and validate payer payments and eligibility data.
- Support claims submission, corrections, and follow‑up as needed.
- Monitor and identify billing discrepancies, underpayments, denials, and potential revenue leakage.
- Work with Operations and Clinical teams to resolve documentation and eligibility issues affecting revenue.
- Maintain billing workflows and information within eClinical
Works (ECW) and payer portals. - Assist with payer audits, reporting, reconciliations, and new payer implementations.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue cycle processes and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle, or payment reconciliation.
- Experience with healthcare payer portals and/or EHR/RCM systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Experience with capitated/PMPM or managed care models .
- Experience with eClinical
Works (ECW) . - Familiarity with payer portals such as IEHP, Molina, Anthem, or Cal Optima.
- Experience in ECM, population health, or value‑based care.
- CPC, CPB, or similar certification.
