OverviewThe Manager, Production oversees all operations in the automatics department, driving performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost across Fabrication, Weld, SSW, and SSL product families.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute short‑to‑medium term production plans in a fast‑paced environment.
- Lead manufacturing operations, including raw material management to finished‑goods shipment, and direct department supervisors.
- Ensure daily KPI compliance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost; take corrective action when needed.
- Collaborate with Production Planning and Scheduling to adjust labor and equipment allocation.
- Own the department’s Value Stream Map(s) and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop, analyze, and present safety, quality, delivery, and cost reports.
- Conduct process audits, Kaizen events, and implement corrective actions to eliminate deviations.
- Manage staff activities: assignments, training, vacations, overtime, absenteeism, temporary employment.
- Design and maintain a comprehensive training roadmap for new and existing employees.
- Provide leadership and performance management: set expectations, give feedback, coach, and address underperformance.
- Drive skill advancement and cross‑training initiatives across value streams.
- Document and standardize critical operational knowledge and best practices.
- Investigate incidents related to safety, attendance, and process deviations; administer progressive discipline when appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum 10 years in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years leading high‑performing teams.
- Experience executing a lean vision and journey (≥2 years).
- ERP/MRP systems experience (SAP preferred).
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost management.
- Strong data analysis and business judgment skills.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Problem‑solving and critical‑thinking capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EEE applications.
- Lean manufacturing expertise (Kaizen, JIT, Kanban, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Experience with OEE software and performance metrics.
- Mathematical competency for analysis and decision making.
- Comfortable with leadership in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
Job requires frequent sitting, speaking, and hearing; occasional walking or standing. May require pushing or lifting up to 25 lbs. Work is conducted in a professional office environment with standard office equipment.
Work Status & LocationFull‑time, exempt position located in Riverside, CA. Travel up to 10% domestic. Relocation is not available.
Compensation & BenefitsAnnual salary: $91,200 – $118,500. Quarterly bonuses or commission may apply. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement contributions, employee stock purchase, mandatory mandatory etc. For details, view the benefit plan at
