LPN Supervisor LP

Works under the direction of the Director of Nursing. Supervises and directs nursing services on one or more units in a facility. Evaluates, plans, implements, and executes resident care and directs all activities in order to provide quality service. Maintains close contact with residents, families and staff while coordinating nursing services with all other disciplines.

• Assigns duties to professional and non‑professional staff according to education, training, policy, and resident need to assure quality resident care is delivered.
• Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed.
• Works with DON/Nurse Manager to manage staffing for assigned shifts.
• Provides direct nursing care to residents.
• Directs and assists in emergent or “code” situations.
• Utilizes the Interact process to assure proper documentation and follow‑through.
• Contributes to the development, maintenance, or modifications of care plans.
• Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation according to nursing practice standards.
• Demonstrates consistent follow‑through for positive resident outcomes.
• Utilizes good judgment and specialized skills.
• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety and dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of the facility, including resident privacy and dignity.
• Works with DON/Nurse Manager on onboarding, orientation, staffing, and supervision of the nursing staff.

• Charge nurse or supervisory experience (Preferred)
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) upon hire (Required)
• CPR/BLS Certification – American Heart Association / American Red Cross / American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 days (Required)
