Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Location:

Rockford, Illinois. Mercyhealth is looking for an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our NICU team. The role provides advanced, evidence‑based care for critically ill and premature newborns in a high‑acuity environment, working alongside neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members.

Work schedule:

Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) rotating day, night, weekend, and holiday coverage.

Compensation: $145,000–$165,000 per year.

• Graduate of an accredited Neonatal NP program.
• National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP‑BC).
• Active state APRN license.
• Active state DEA license, or eligibility.
• Active BLS and NRP certifications, or eligibility.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system.
• Preferred:
  Experience as a bedside registered nurse in a Level III NICU.
• Strong clinical decision‑making, communication, and teamwork skills.
