PACU RN, JBH- nights

Shift: 7:00pm–7:30am, two days one week and three days the opposite week. May include variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and on‑call hours. Float to various units as needed.

• Use the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws.
• Document patient care according to standards of care.
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care tailored to the patient’s needs, per physician and/or clinic policy, including patient and family instruction.
• Participate in department or unit performance‑improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units’ departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
• Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, and appropriately elevate to the appropriate chain of command.
• Participate in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities and decisions, and peer‑review process.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred.
• May require specific years of applicable experience to qualify (per department guidelines).

• Licensed as an RN in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Other certifications per unit requirements (e.g., ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP).

• May include color‑blind test (per department guidelines).
