All applicants must hold a Utah Professional Educator License or be eligible to obtain one. Candidates may apply for an Associate Educator License (AEL) to qualify for the Alternate Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPELL) Program. Proof of an AEL, or proof of enrollment in a teacher certification program at a local university, must be presented before being added to the candidate pool.
