Guest Teachers; Substitute Teachers - grades

Position Overview

Foothills School Division is currently seeking teachers to add to our Guest (Substitute) Teacher roster. Guest Teaching is the perfect opportunity to start your FSD journey, allowing you to gain hands‑on experience in a variety of grades and subjects.

We are looking for Guest Teachers who are available to work throughout our School Division and are adaptable and flexible to a variety of grades and subjects. You must be willing to teach all grades and subjects. French as a Second Language would be considered an asset.

Guest Teachers must be available to work for at least 50% of the school year and accept at least 50% of the dispatches offered.

Our Guest Teachers engage students in learning, apply a variety of management strategies that are appropriate for the situation and minimize disruptions to student learning, and integrate instruction to address the unique needs of each student. Aptitude in the use of technology and Smart Board is considered an asset. If you are a dynamic, research‑based educator—experienced or new graduate—we welcome your application.

Successful candidates cannot begin without a satisfactory Criminal Record Check completed within the last six (6) months. Start dates will be dependent on providing the required documentation to FSD.
