Rotation Assistant I (PT)

We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and organized individual to facilitate Physical Education (P.E.) rotations for K-6 students. In this role, you will plan and lead P.E. activities, ensuring a safe and active environment for students while classroom teachers participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
Key Responsibilities- Instruction & Activity Planning: Plan, organize, and carry out engaging P.E. activities tailored for K-6 students.
- Classroom Management: Effectively manage groups of students, ensuring a safe, positive, and structured environment.
- Collaboration: Follow instructions from classroom teachers or supervisors, and maintain positive relationships with both students and staff in structured and unstructured settings.
- Daily Operations: Utilize strong multi‑tasking, time management, and problem‑solving skills to keep rotations running smoothly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work exceptionally well with both children and adults.
- Strong organizational skills and personal integrity (demonstrated through professional references).
- Knowledge of basic First Aid is a plus.
- One (1) year of experience working in a classroom setting PLUS either an Associate's degree, 48 semester hours from an accredited college, or a passed Para Pro assessment.
- Experience as a licensed educator preferred. Experience in P.E., STEM, or Fine Arts preferred.
- Completion of an online classroom management training provided is required within the first 30 calendar days of employment.
- To be eligible to advance to Rotation Assistant II
, the incumbent must complete one year as a Rotation Assistant I and 20 hours of advanced training in P.E., STEM, or Fine Arts provided by the Teaching & Learning department. This training is optional. - To be eligible for the Rotation Assistant III
, the incumbent must be a current or former licensed teacher.
