Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging exams on patients using specialized equipment. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality imaging results. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of imaging techniques, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Shift DetailsPRN position covering open shifts, PTO requests, sick calls, and other staffing needs. Caregivers must be available to work a minimum of 3 shifts per month to maintain PRN status.
LocationsRiverton Hospital Radiology & Southridge Clinic.
Essential Functions- Maintains ARRT or modality‑specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
- Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
- Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
- Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
- Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
- Assists and instructs students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
- Provides appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses concerns.
- Practices appropriate infection control and sterile techniques.
- Operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
- Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions.
- Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
- Radiologic technologist license in state of practice (if applicable).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist and perform the function of an MA in a clinic or Insta Care setting.
- 1–2 years radiology experience.

Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors requiring verbal communication and quick comprehension. Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment, frequent computer use, typing, medication preparation, and documentation. Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients and supplies, including heavy items. Standing, walking, and navigating crowded, busy rooms may be required.
CompensationHourly rate: $29.43 – $45.39, depending on experience.
