Job Description:

Accountable for performing and coordinating and scoring physiologic studies of sleep and sleep-related disorders. The incumbent provides care to patients via technology, therapeutic interventions, and coordination of care with other health care professionals.

Shift Details:
Full-time, 36 hours/week, Nights- 7:00pm-7:00am, Mid-week shift during training (3-4 months) and then weekends (Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon) once training is complete. No holidays

Sleep Lab, Riverton Hospital may float to TOSHAdditional Details: RSPGT or the Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential REQUIREDJoin our Sleep Services team and play a vital role in helping patients improve their health and quality of life through the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related disorders. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) who enjoys working independently, delivering exceptional patient care, and supporting patients through overnight sleep studies.

What You'll DoPerform overnight polysomnographic studies and PAP therapy titrations.

Monitor patients throughout sleep studies and document physiologic data accurately.

Score sleep studies according to established guidelines and protocols.

Educate patients on sleep testing procedures and PAP therapy.

Maintain equipment, supplies, and study records.

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care.

Troubleshoot technical and patient care concerns during overnight testing.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and documentation standards.

Minimum Qualifications For RPSGT Candidates:

High school diploma or GED.Current Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) credential.

Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).Ability to work independently on night shifts.

For RRT Candidates:

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license (if required by state).Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.

Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).Sleep experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications Anatomy courses

Clinical or patient care experience

Proven ability to supervise others

Available to work the night shift with demonstrated ability to do so Previous sleep lab or sleep medicine experience.

Experience with PAP therapy, CPAP/BiPAP titrations, and sleep study scoring.

Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience providing patient education and troubleshooting equipment issues

Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.

May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts.

For roles requiring driving:
Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
