Job DescriptionThis is an intermediate-level professional position that broadly identifies, documents, and demonstrates the optimal data management experience. This is accomplished through the coordination of efforts necessary to build, classify and inventory Church data assets and other assigned initiatives. This inventory is required to comply with global data laws and regulations and supports additional data management and governance initiatives. As an experienced professional, the Operational Functional Analyst gathers team requirements, and coordinates work based on priorities, available resources, and supports assigned aspects of data inventory and other data inventory team projects.
This individual works with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel. We value early, mid and late-career candidates and encourage all applicants with the posted skills and abilities to apply.
- Coordinate across teams as a business resource to successfully plan, coordinate, prioritize, and schedule work
- Use and maintain portfolio applications: e.g., Cloud Data Governance Catalog (CDGC), Assessment Manager (AM), etc.
- Support development and completion of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs)
- Learn, support, and use Privacy by Design (PbD) principles
- Learn and apply data standards policies, ensuring correct implementation and use of regulated and governed data
- May be required to analyze data, reconcile inventory, and support data quality initiatives across the enterprise
- Maintain data inventory team documentation and files
- Contribute and grow within a complex area of emerging importance
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent professional experience
- Four years of relevant professional experience
- Working knowledge and application of the following competencies:
- Data Architecture
- Data Analysis
- Requirements Management
- Familiarity with technical architecture
- Capable of working under pressure to resolve problems in a team setting
- Operational understanding and discipline
- Ability to quickly learn new tools and technology, and perform assigned tasks
- Familiarity with software, SaaS products, and with data requirements and plans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- This job operates in a professional environment
- To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment
