The Global Services Department seeks a Global Support Tech Generalist fluent in English and Spanish to assist members, leaders and employees worldwide with technical support for desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, software and operating systems.
Location and Work Arrangement
Riverton, UT, United States – hybrid. The position requires office presence at the Riverton, UT office at least once a week and may require additional days based on business needs. Applicants must live close to the office.
Position Type
Full‑time (40‑hour/week).
Job DescriptionThe Global Tech Support Generalist is the first point of contact for users and provides technical support for hardware, systems, sub‑systems and applications. The role gathers and analyzes user issues to answer basic to intermediate questions, teaches users how to use assigned products, and determines the best approach to resolve problems. Communication occurs via phone, e‑mail and electronic messages. The role also records all customer contacts in the CRM system, escalates complex issues to the Global Tech Support Specialist and works under general supervision.
Responsibilities- Act as initial point of contact for customers via telephone, e‑mail or live chat to provide technical support of hardware, systems, sub‑systems, applications and policies.
- Assist customers in navigating application menus and, if required, remote-control the customer’s computer.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues for remote employees on corporate or local network.
- Develop and sustain productive customer relationships, focusing on the customer’s needs.
- Offer alternative solutions when appropriate.
- Record all customer contact information in the CRM system.
- Escalate complex problems to the Global Tech Support Specialist when needed.
- Work under general supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
- 0‑2 years of previous computer technical support experience.
- Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English and Spanish is required.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, meetinghouse technology, network troubleshooting, IP/TCP‑IP addressing, VPN software and remote user support.
- Understanding of Active Directory for unlocking and resetting passwords.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting all Windows operating systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding customer skills with empathy and professionalism.
- Must live close to the Riverton, UT office under the hybrid model.
