Overview
Experienced Sprinkler Technician – Residential
We’re hiring a high-caliber sprinkler technician for the upcoming season. This is not entry-level. We’re looking for someone who can walk onto a job, diagnose the problem, fix it correctly, document the work, and move on—without supervision.
If other techs come to you when a system doesn’t make sense, keep reading.
What You’ll DoYou must be fully capable of handling the following independently:
- Diagnose sprinkler system issues quickly and accurately
- Repair and replace heads, valves, manifolds, laterals, and mains
- Electrical troubleshooting: timers, solenoids, wiring, shorts, bad zones
- Backflow preventer installs and replacements
- Stop-and-waste installs and repairs
- Full residential installs: tie-in, trenching, set, program, and test
- Startups, repairs, upgrades, and customer education
You’re expected to show up prepared, solve problems efficiently, document your work, and keep jobs moving.
What We’re Looking For- 5+ years hands-on irrigation / sprinkler experience
- Strong diagnostic ability (not just parts swapping)
- Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
- Professional, clean, and customer-facing
- Clear English communication (required)
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable
- Reliable and professional personal vehicle
If you need step-by-step direction or constant supervision, this isn’t the role.
Pay- $25–$30/hour to start, based on experience and capability.
- Paid weekly
- Multiple bonus structures in place to further reward quality and efficiency
- Good techs are paid well. Great techs make more.
- You will use your own vehicle for daily work
- Jobs are primarily within Salt Lake County
- This is non-negotiable. If this is a deal breaker, do not apply.
We’re building a professional, efficient operation focused on quality, speed, and accountability. No micromanagement. No chaos. Just good systems and high standards.
How to ApplyApply with a brief summary of your sprinkler experience. If you’ve led installs, handled complex diagnostics, or been the go-to tech on crews, say so.
Qualified applicants will be contacted quickly.
