• Supervise public health nursing programs under the direction of the County Nurse Manager by collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to evaluate program implementation and outcomes;
• Ensures high-quality patient care and adherence to policies, procedures, standards, and regulations;
• Provides direct patient care to public health clients in the home, office, and community setting;
• Provides leadership, training, and direct supervision of nursing staff;
• Plans, implements, and evaluates services based on community health needs;
• Assists County Nurse Manager with local nursing agency budget;
• Collaborates with local and state response coordinators for effective public health preparedness and response.

• Preference will be given to applicants with work experience in public health nursing or similar nursing experience; with three years of professional work as a registered nurse; and with supervisory experience.
• Must be licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming
• Must have an active driver's license
• Must be able to travel throughout the State and to national conferences, if requested
• Must be able to work evenings, nights, and/or weekends when the situation requires.

• Knowledge of principles of nursing and management processes.
• Knowledge of the medical diagnosis and treatment of patient care using nursing diagnosis.
• Knowledge of organization, planning and team building.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of public health nursing.
• Knowledge of human service management to include supervisory techniques, methods and standards.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (typically in Nursing)

Experience:

1-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Nurse

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming

4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Nurse

• Lift/transfer patients to different positions.
• Lift medical/patient equipment of varying sizes and weights up to about 50 lbs.
• Restrain clients for treatments, climb stairs to patient homes, drive long distances.
• Travel throughout the state and to national conferences if requested.
• Work evenings, nights and /or weekends when the situation requires it.
