Grocery Clerk

The Kroger Company - 1200 West Main Street - Responsibilities:
Grocery Clerk helps customers discover new items or products they inquire about.;
Informs customers of food specials and recommends grocery items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need.;
Check product quality to ensure freshness and review sell-by dates; take appropriate action.;
Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.;
Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.;
Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines; maintain temperature logs.;
Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations.;
Create an welcoming environment by answering questions about products sold within the department and throughout the store.;
Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions and notifying management.;
Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
