PSD Project Manager

Primary Job Role

• Derives a plan for each project and executes & monitors the plan.
• Sets up the project within the software application, coordinates ship build-up/fabrication work and issues appropriate paperwork.
• Monitors and controls costs, maximizing profit through purchasing & value engineering activities.
• Monitors and controls scope, identifies out-of-scope items and escalates to salesperson for potential change orders; assists sales personnel through technical evaluations and oversees reviews of specifications and drawings.
• Monitors and controls project schedule and vendor equipment timelines, scheduling and monitoring project startup with the service departments of all vendors.
• Identifies potential risks and ensures a mitigation plan.
• Identifies all project stakeholders, their impact and the best communication method.
• Conveys information professionally and provides technical communication with manufacturers and representatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of experience.

• Superb written & oral communication with employees & customers.
• AutoCAD & MS Office proficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, business management or engineering.
• General knowledge of electric power generation.

Job requirements change requiring re-training to stay current every 1-2 years.

Physical demands include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, feeling, grasping, repetitive motion, talking, hearing, lifting (up to 25 lbs., 26‑50 lbs., over 50 lbs.), and occasional pushing/pulling.

Inside: protection from weather but not necessarily from temperature change. Outside: no effective protection from weather. Extreme cold (below 32°F) and extreme heat (above 100°F) for periods of more than one hour. Noise sufficient to require shouting above ambient level. Vibration exposure. Hazards include mechanical, electrical, high places, heat, chemicals. Atmospheric conditions include fumes, odors, dust, mist, gases, poor ventilation. Oils, air particulates, contaminants may require respirator.
