Job Purpose

As a 2nd Grade Teacher, you will develop lesson plans aligned with our curriculum, build rapport with students, staff, and parents, and motivate learners to achieve their full potential.

How You Will Impact Education
  • Plan and implement instruction that follows the company’s philosophy and guidelines.
  • Create purposeful lessons that maximize student engagement.
  • Present subject matter using real‑world examples and application‑based activities.
  • Review and maintain accurate student records and assess progress regularly.
  • Use differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Administer diagnostic assessments and refer students for support when needed.
  • Coordinate field trips and prepare students for state assessments.
  • Stay current with subject content, learning theory, and share knowledge to improve the curriculum.
  • Participate in curriculum revision and selection of instructional materials.
Provide a Classroom Environment Conducive to Learning
  • Create a safe, engaging classroom environment appropriate to student maturity.
  • Maintain positive relationships, patience, and nurture student growth.
  • Keep the classroom clean, safe, and showcase student work as appropriate.
  • Enforce clear classroom rules in a fair and consistent manner.
Instructional Planning
  • Develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines.
  • Design individual or group activities to meet instructional objectives.
  • Prepare for classes and demonstrate readiness to supervisors.
  • Collaborate in curriculum planning meetings.
  • Incorporate diagnostic data and IEP information into planning.
  • Protect supplies, equipment, and materials during instruction.
School/Community Relations
  • Build cooperative relationships with parents, guardians, and the community.
  • Communicate clearly and positively with parents across media.
  • Maintain student confidentiality and participate in parent communication activities.
  • Join extracurricular activities to support a positive school culture.
Required Qualifications And Skills
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to the role and CSUSA mission.
  • Strong time‑management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with teachers, students, parents, and staff.
  • Professional demeanor, courtesy, and respect for corporate image.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and active‑listening communication skills.
  • Consistency, punctuality, responsiveness to direction, and openness to feedback.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SIS, and email.
  • High attention to accuracy, quality, and best practices in character education.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Valid teaching certification (where applicable).
  • 1–3 years of successful teaching experience, including student‑teaching internships.
  • Command of 2nd‑grade content and learning‑theory concepts.
  • Commitment to CSUSA values and ethical standards.
  • Successful background check (criminal and employment).
  • Effective instructional delivery and adherence to educational ethics.
  • Flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned.
Work Environment

Usual office working conditions.

Physical Demands
  • No physical exertion required.
  • Occasional travel within or outside the state.
  • Light work: able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds more frequently as needed.
FLSA Overtime Category

Exempt from overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
