Role Description

This full‑time, on‑site Mechatronics Specialist role is based in Tampa, FL. The Mechatronics Specialist will design, assemble, test, and troubleshoot electromechanical systems and automated solutions that support customer projects and internal operations. Daily activities include interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, integrating sensors, actuators, controllers, and PLCs, and configuring motion control or robotics components as required. The role will collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and operations teams to develop solutions, document designs, prepare bills of materials, and support installation or commissioning efforts.

The specialist will also maintain technical documentation, assist with product demos or training, and provide ongoing technical support and preventive maintenance recommendations for installed systems.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in mechatronics, including integration of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, with hands‑on experience assembling and testing electromechanical equipment.
  • Proficiency with industrial automation technologies such as PLCs, HMIs, motor drives, sensors, actuators, and motion control systems.
  • Ability to read and create technical documentation, including electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials.
  • Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical, electrical, and control issues in automated systems.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and best practices for industrial equipment and automation environments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams and support both internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously, prioritize deadlines, and adapt to changing customer or operational needs.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field; equivalent relevant experience considered.
