X-Ray Machine Operator​/Fluoroscopic; Bxmo

The Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BXMO) follows all required safety protocols, prepares and positions patients for fluoroscopic injections, and administratively assists physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic diseases or injuries of the spine. This position follows the assigned physician to the Hillsborough county location.

• Prepares patient for fluoroscopic spine procedures following meticulous safety guidelines under the guidance of the assigned physician
• Protects patient, self, and other staff from radiation hazards following proper radiology protocols under the guidance of the assigned physician
• Complies with all safety standards, communicates effectively, and pays attention to detail
• Monitors radiology supplies and submits purchase requests to maintain proper supply levels
• Travels to assigned clinic location to perform radiologic duties under the guidance of a physician
• Performs other duties as directed by the Physician

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• Florida licensure as a Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BXMO) required
• At least one (1) year BXMO experience in an orthopaedic environment, medical practice, clinic, or hospital
• Basic use of c-arm and related radiology equipment as directed under the guidance of a physician
• Solid knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology and sterile technique
• Advanced knowledge of orthopedic spine anatomy and terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and continually changing environment
• Able to locally travel as clinic schedules dictate
• Ability to understand, follow, and communicate oral and written instructions in English; read, write, and speak English fluently for clear work-related communication and patient safety
• Experience using AllScripts/veradigm PM/EHR systems preferred

• Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds at times
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer, standing, and walking
