Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

Under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing janitorial and other duties. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques is essential.

• Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, tables and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas.
• Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles inside and out as necessary.
• Lifting 30 pounds repeatedly.
• Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture when appropriate.
• Cleaning windowsills and windows.
• Maintain janitor area in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
• Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals.
• Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment as required at all times.
• Maintain closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
• Restocking PPE and gowning room supplies daily.
• Take PPE supplies from warehouse and organize in storage area.
• Break down corrugate and prepare it for recycling.
• Maintain and document waste & recycle metrics for EHS.
• Inventory counts for expensed items.
• Ensures compliance with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations; may require the employee to wear safety equipment or gear.
• Other tasks as required.

• Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willingness to learn.

Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Six months or more related experience.
