• Independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practices set by a nationally recognized specialty organization.
• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

• Registered Nurse license.
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing; BSN or higher preferred.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association.
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association preferred.
• Required experience:
  
  one year acute care experience, or one year interventional/procedural experience, or six months RN acute care or interventional/procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment.

• Minimum of two years RN experience.
• Minimum of one year acute care RN experience in Endoscopy, PACU or Critical Care.
• Endoscopy experience strongly preferred.
