Quality Engineer - Manufacturing Operations
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support a fast‑paced manufacturing environment focused on producing high‑quality components and driving continuous improvement across production operations. This role is hands‑on and plays a key part in ensuring products, processes, and systems meet established quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain quality control systems to ensure compliance with internal standards and procedures
- Conduct inspections and testing of products and manufacturing processes to identify defects and non‑conformances
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and operations teams to resolve quality issues
- Support new product introductions, including review of design changes, supplier changes, and first article inspections
- Participate in internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable quality standards
- Track, analyze, and report quality metrics, inspection results, and process performance data
- Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, 5S, and visual management systems
- Assist in development of standard operating procedures and training materials
- Support workforce training and competency tracking initiatives
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment in a quality‑related role
- Strong understanding of quality systems, inspection methods, and process control
- Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem‑solving tools (8D, CAPA, etc.)
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement principles
- Knowledge of quality standards and systems (ISO, AS9100, or similar preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience with ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CQI) or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and process capability studies
- Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across multiple departments
