Title: Quality Control Technician
Schedule: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Hours Per Week: 40
Pay:
Experience: Onsite, Riverview, FL
Position SummaryThe Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting and analyzing products and processes to ensure compliance with established specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to procedures, and the ability to perform analytical evaluations and tests. The technician works under moderate supervision and collaborates closely with Quality Assurance and Production teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct & Process Inspection
- Perform visual and analytical inspections of in-process and finished materials.
- Review Product Assembly Process Sheets, blueprints, sampling charts, and specifications to determine inspection criteria and testing methods.
- Obtain and evaluate product samples using inspection equipment and visual assessment techniques.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting results and findings.
Quality Assurance Collaboration
- Consult with Quality Assurance personnel or supervisors for clarification on specifications, acceptability standards, or product quality issues.
- Report unusual conditions, defects, or concerns to supervisors and participate in corrective action discussions.
Documentation & Traceability
- Accurately record all traceability data, production information, cleaning logs, and safety check documentation as required.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with SOPs, GMPs, ISO 13485 standards, and corporate procedures.
Operational Support
- Monitor machine efficiency and report underperformance to assigned personnel.
- Report malfunctions and recommend potential equipment improvements to enhance operation.
- Follow all established procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality guidelines.
- Assist in training others on SOPs and quality standards when required.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all department safety regulations and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment following housekeeping standards.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns immediately.
Other Duties
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Ability to apply acquired knowledge to complete routine, standardized tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
- Ability to learn and apply new methods and information quickly.
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
- Good problem-solving skills for routine and moderately complex issues.
- Ability to follow quality guidelines and maintain compliance.
- Effective communication skills for reporting results and issues.
- Works well under moderate supervision with regular oversight.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in quality control, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Knowledge of GMPs, ISO 13485 standards, or similar regulatory frameworks.
