Job SummaryAs the Retail Supervisor at RWB Thrift, you will support the Retail Manager and oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the sales floor. Your role involves ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, achieving sales targets, coaching the retail team, and managing cashier operations.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Oversight – Manage daily floor operations, ensuring adherence to standards and efficient service delivery.
- Team Development – Mentor and coach team members to enhance performance and foster a positive workplace.
- Customer Service Excellence – Handle inquiries and resolve issues promptly, reflecting management direction.
- Inventory Management – Maintain appropriate stock levels, merchandising, and accurate pricing.
- Cashier Operations – Oversee transaction processing and cash‑handling procedures.
- Learning & Growth – Review reports, understand departmental goals, and contribute to performance metrics.
- Collaborative Leadership – Work with the Retail Manager to implement sales strategies and optimize productivity.
Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred. The role may involve interaction with customers, donors, and colleagues primarily using English; thus a fundamental understanding of written and spoken English is required.
Qualifications- Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, Teams, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments within provided instructions.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in retail, warehouse, or customer‑facing roles preferred.
- Safely perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs; frequently exert up to 25 lbs of force.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Perform repetitive hand and arm motions.
- Maintain balance on various surfaces and perform agile tasks.
- Clear vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more.
- Wear closed‑toe shoes for safety.
- Dynamic, fast‑paced retail setting with bright lighting and noise.
- Regular interaction with customers, donors, and coworkers.
- High flexibility; may be asked to switch tasks or departments.
