What You'll Do
As a Sales Associate, you will be dedicated to understanding customers' needs and presenting meaningful and unique solutions. You are the first person to welcome a customer into the store, advising, selling, and recommending products. When you are not servicing customers, you will actively restock products, maintain visual merchandising, fulfill online orders, and perform cleaning duties, all while promoting the "Live Well" message.
- Proactively greet and welcome every customer that visits GNC, creating a welcoming environment.
- Interact genuinely with customers to help them choose the right products, making recommendations based on product knowledge and their needs.
- Drive for results to achieve and exceed store and personal sales and productivity goals.
- Fulfill online orders timely and accurately in compliance with company guidelines.
- Boost product knowledge by learning features, advantages, and benefits; stay updated on nutritional, wellness, and fitness news.
- Support store management in opening, closing, and operating the retail store, including cash handling, inventory count and deposits, and maintaining store appearance.
Work conditions and schedule requirements for this part‑time hourly position:
- Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
- Frequent reaching, bending, twisting (below waist and above shoulders).
- Repetitive hand‑to‑finger motions and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently lifting up to twenty pounds, occasionally up to 40 pounds; push/pull up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
- Work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85°F, especially in stock rooms.
- Use of a computer up to 60% of the time during the day.
- Work nights or mornings to open or close the store.
- Be able to work key peak business days/hours, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Work all major U.S. holidays that the store is open.
Sales Associates must be at least 18 years of age.
