As a member of the produce team, you will help determine the quality of the produce that members and their families enjoy by ensuring availability, cleanliness and freshness. You will be at the front line of customer service, using your friendly demeanor to enhance the member’s shopping experience.
What You'll Do- Be a Team Member: Keep up-to-date knowledge of the products and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources, communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for customer service, and remain flexible to the needs of the business, including tracking goods and maintaining in‑stock levels.
- Be an Expert: Understand the processes and specifications related to the quality of various types of produce. Prepare products (trim, crisp, package, scale) according to established standards, maintain product safety, follow company sanitation guidelines and comply with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
- Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement. Use hand held technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training and product quality, and encourage others to adopt new tools.
- Be an Owner: Drive performance, use digital tools and perpetual inventory management techniques to stock and rotate department products, ensure quality and date‑control standards, eliminate waste, guide peers and attend to customer needs.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote the department and club, model high‑quality service, execute basics at the highest level of quality and exhibit energy, commitment and passion.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Apply related action plans and the Open Door Policy in all business processes.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers and partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; adapt and learn from change.
- Greetings and thank members with a positive attitude.
- Provide exceptional customer service to members throughout the club and answer any questions.
- Maintain a clean, neat, member‑ready area.
- Receive and stock merchandise in an organized manner.
- Maintain inventory so that there is no out‑of‑stock or over‑stock.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Willfully complete all required job trainings and assessments within permitted time frames.
