Position Overview
When not operating a CDL vehicle, the CDL Technician works effectively with supervisors and crew members to ensure successful inspections, cleaning, repairs, and rehabilitation of sewer and storm water pipes.
Responsibilities- Learning and operating truck‑mounted boilers for curing CIPP liners for lining operations on various types of pipelines.
- Assisting with installation of CIPP liners and reinstatement of sewer service laterals.
- Setting up CIPP equipment, including hoses, inverters, traffic control, and other equipment directly associated with the installation of CIPP liners.
- Travel as required (per diem and hotel accommodations provided by the company).
- Performing miscellaneous related duties and carrying out special projects as assigned.
- Working effectively in a team atmosphere.
- Working long days on one’s feet.
- Working inside of manhole structures.
- Emptying liner debris (trash) from reefer trucks into dumpsters.
- Performing CDL pre/post inspections on vehicles.
- Maintaining and checking fluids in boiler trucks.
- Maintaining temperatures and pressures while processing liners.
- Operating and learning power tools (grinders, sawzall, etc.).
- Experience working in the construction field.
- Ability to perform CDL pre/post inspections on vehicles.
- Valid Class B CDL license with a good driving record over the last three years.
- Knowledge of confined‑space entry, CIPP lining, and construction safety.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to enter federal installations to conduct work.
- Assisting crew with setup, installation, and cleanup of all liner installs.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and stoop to use hand tools.
Full‑time, non‑exempt. Days and hours of work typically Monday through Friday, with possible shift work, weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
