Laundry Attendant

Overview

Atria Senior Living is seeking a Laundry Attendant to provide laundry and related support in our community, ensuring clean, safe, and well-maintained laundry areas and services for residents.

• Wash, dry, and iron resident laundry and community linens and textiles using provided appliances.
• Fold and/or hang laundry as appropriate.
• Distribute laundered articles and linens to residents and staff.
• Replace and hang draperies; change bed linens as needed.
• Mop the laundry room floor and wash walls regularly.
• Wash windows around the community as requested.
• Ensure resident laundry is kept separated and not mixed with other residents’ items.
• Keep the laundry area in a safe, clean, and good working condition.
• Disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies.
• Stock laundry and cleaning carts with supplies.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal area.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

• Must successfully complete all Atria specified training programs.
• Able to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Able to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Able to perform these operations using units of US currency and weight, volume, and distance.
• Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Able to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
• Able to safely perform duties using related commercial laundry equipment and materials such as washers, dryers, irons, etc.
