Sr. Business Analyst – Global Payment Network

The Global Payment Network is a unique network built for global connectivity and partnership, operating through three leading payment brands:
Discover Network, Diners Club International, and Pulse. Our analytics team transforms complex payment activity into actionable insights, supporting fraud prevention, merchant strategy, and partner performance. As a Senior Business Analyst at Capital One, you will apply strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges in a collaborative environment that values innovation and continuous learning.

• Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and provide strategic or tactical recommendations.
• Perform modeling and analytics to support new product and pricing strategies for lending products.
• Support direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products and design targeted insights for new customer experiences.
• Create credit risk models, test hypotheses, and monitor performance to improve consumer credit trends.
• Develop problem frameworks, hypotheses, solutions, and implementation plans with monitoring strategies.
• Collaborate across IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other Capital One teams to drive quality, volume, service, and profitability improvements.

• At least 2 years of professional experience performing analysis.
• Current or forthcoming bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems) or equivalent.
• Strong quantitative orientation and concept‑driven analytical mindset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to influence decision makers.
• Demonstrated self‑directed problem‑solving and a results‑focused approach in fast‑paced, dynamic environments.

• Master’s degree in Business or a quantitative field.
• 1+ year of experience in statistical model building.
• 1+ year of experience in market research.
• 1+ year of SQL querying experience.
• 2+ years of business analysis experience.
• 1+ year of consulting experience.
