Lead Platform Engineer (Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering)

We are seeking Platform Engineers to create and support Dev Ops tools with emerging technologies.

• Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios.
• Continuously improve software engineering practices.
• Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies.
• Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions.
• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community.
• Utilize scripting languages such as Python, SQL, Ruby and Groovy; container orchestration services including Docker and ECS; configuration management tools including Ansible and Terraform; and a variety of AWS tools and services.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 6 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, Git Hub, or Artifactory).
• At least 4 years of experience with AWS.
• At least 2 years of team leadership experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5+ years of experience with Palo Alto Networks NGFW, including Panorama.
• 7+ years of experience with network switching, routing, load balancing, and firewall solutions.
• 7+ years of experience with scripting using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 5+ years of experience with Intrusion Detection or Protection systems.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.

Riverwoods, IL: $149,800 – $171,000. Candidates hired in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
