Job Summary
Senior Learning Manager leads the design, development, and execution of strategic learning initiatives that build organizational capability and accelerate business performance. Partners directly with business leaders to assess learning needs and identify development solutions aligned to business objectives. This role manages key learning programs and work streams, driving the creation of new skillsets, onboarding frameworks, and functional training. The individual will lead a team and influence stakeholders to deliver measurable learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and execution of learning solutions aligned to the business strategies, focusing on building specialized capabilities and accelerating associate development.
- Proactively meet with internal business clients to fully understand their business strategies and learning needs.
- Identify and design integrated learning solutions to fill performance and development gaps using adult learning methodologies and training techniques.
- Provide strategic direction and coaching for the team.
- Monitor the work of other learning resources working on mutual projects and provide feedback, coaching and guidance as needed.
- Coach and support junior learning professionals to grow their consulting and learning design capabilities.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 3 years of experience working in the learning & development industry.
- At least 3 years of experience in learning consultation.
- At least 3 years of experience in learning curriculum design and development.
- At least 3 years of experience managing the execution of training programs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Adult Education or Human Resources.
- 5 years of experience in training needs assessment and design.
- 5 years of experience in client consulting / performance consulting.
- 5 years of leading project teams.
- 3 years of experience in Commercial Banking.
- Salary Range (Full Time): McLean, VA: $163,900 - $187,100;
Riverwoods, IL: $149,000 - $170,000. Other locations: salary as per local range. - Eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
