Job Description/ Responsibilities
Splunk Support Engineer:
" Overall experience of 10-12 years in installing and configuring Splunk forwarder on Linux, Windows servers
" Handling forwarders, forwarding different types of log files
" Configuring Indexers, Search Heads, Deployment/Management Servers, Deployment Clients
" Handling Indexer Clustering along with Search Head Clustering architecture
" License management (Master License, Pooling, Usage Report)
" Migrating entire Splunk environment during Data centre Migration
" Creating and binding fields with Splunk Metadata using Regular Expressions
" Troubleshooting Splunk Admin tasks
" Forwarding data from different applications using Universal Forwarders, HTTP Event Collector etc
" Managing user settings, roles, and access management
" Building Splunk dashboards using XML
" Creating scheduled alerts for real-time monitoring
" Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for business requirements
" Working on knowledge objects such as Event Types, Tags, Field extractions, Lookups
" Installing, configuring, and using apps such as Splunk
DBConnect, WMI
" Working on Cloud Environment
