Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Senior Event Planning Specialist to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of a diverse portfolio of events. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role, ideal for someone with exceptional PA/secretarial/administrative skills who thrives in fast-paced, deadline-led environments.

While experience in sporting or major events is an advantage, this role is equally suited to candidates from senior administrative, executive assistant, or professional services backgrounds who bring strong planning discipline, advanced technical skills, and excellent stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support end-to-end event planning activities, from concept through to delivery and post-event reporting
  • Provide high-level administrative and organisational support to senior stakeholders and event leads
  • Manage complex schedules, timelines, and competing priorities with precision
  • Prepare high-quality presentations, briefing packs, reports, and event documentation
  • Develop and maintain detailed budgets, trackers, and operational plans
  • Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, venues, and external partners
  • Track actions, risks, and deliverables, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
  • Support on-site event delivery as required, including logistics, schedules, and stakeholder coordination
Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a senior administrative, PA, secretarial, or coordination role
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (tracking, formulas, data management)
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills
    , with the ability to produce polished, senior-level presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and handling sensitive information
  • Ability to remain calm, flexible, and solutions-focused under pressure

Desirable:

  • Experience working in event planning, sport, or large-scale/complex events
  • Exposure to budget management and supplier coordination
  • Experience supporting executive-level teams or high-profile projects
