Role Overview
The Senior Business Development Specialist is responsible for attracting new clients, growing existing accounts, and managing long-term client relationships within the recruitment sector. This role focuses on understanding client hiring needs, promoting recruitment solutions, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction while driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, target, and attract new clients through networking, outreach, referrals, and market research
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the client base
- Conduct meetings and presentations to introduce recruitment services and value propositions
- Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts, and service agreements
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients across various industries
- Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell recruitment services
- Support client retention through consistent communication and performance reviews
- Track client satisfaction and implement improvements where needed
- Stay informed on recruitment market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activity in the CRM system
- Meet or exceed business development targets and KPIs
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, HR, or a related field
- 3‑5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
- Advanced leadership competencies
- Client‑focused mindset with a consultative sales approach
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively
- Confidence in presenting services and influencing decision‑makers
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools
- Experience working in a recruitment agency or HR services environment
- Knowledge of employment markets
