Purchasing Manager - Medical Consumables

Working as a Purchasing Manager Medical Consumables entails ensuring the availability of high-quality medical products at optimal cost and maintaining strong supplier relations to support operational excellence across the organization.

The position involves:

• Managing the full procurement cycle for medical consumables, from sourcing to delivery.
• Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Monitoring inventory levels and forecasting needs in coordination with warehouse and operations teams.
• Ensuring all purchases comply with company policies, quality standards, and healthcare regulations.
• Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships, tracking vendor performance, and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Conducting market analysis to source alternative suppliers and drive cost optimization.
• Reviewing and approving purchase orders, contracts, and supply agreements.
• Preparing periodic procurement reports and presentations for top management.
• Collaborating closely with finance and other departments to ensure budget alignment and accurate documentation.

We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing within the medical or healthcare sector, with proven exposure to consumables and supplier networks.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills, with a strategic and analytical mindset.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office applications, and procurement reporting tools.
• Thorough understanding of procurement policies, asset management systems, and relevant ISO standards.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.
