The Business Development Manager – GCC will lead commercial growth across the GCC markets for an Indian pharmaceutical company with global operations. The role will focus on building strategic relationships with government entities, healthcare institutions, and pharmaceutical partners to drive registrations, tenders, and distribution partnerships across the region.
The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to GCC healthcare systems, tender mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities Regional Business Development- Drive market expansion across the GCC countries.
- Identify and secure distribution partnerships, joint ventures, and institutional business opportunities.
- Develop and execute country-specific go-to-market strategies.
- Build relationships with:
- Ministries of Health and government procurement bodies
- Hospital groups and institutional buyers
- Regional pharmaceutical partners and distributors
- Support product registrations and inclusion in government procurement lists.
- Manage participation in government and semi-government tenders.
- Identify opportunities for contract manufacturing, licensing, and co-marketing.
- Negotiate commercial agreements with regional partners.
- Drive portfolio expansion in line with market needs and regulatory approvals.
- Work closely with regulatory teams on GCC product approvals.
- Coordinate with supply chain and finance to ensure timely execution of orders and contracts.
- Provide market insights to leadership on pricing, competition, and demand trends.
- Achieve regional revenue and profitability targets.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and provide regular reporting.
- Represent the company at regional exhibitions.
- 6–12 years in international pharmaceutical business development.
- Strong experience handling GCC markets is essential.
- Demonstrated success in government tenders and institutional sales.
- Established relationships with regional distributors and pharma partners preferred.
- Bachelor’s in Pharmacy / Life Sciences.
- MBA preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GCC regulatory and tender systems.
- Experience working with Ministries of Health and government buyers.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Cultural fluency in GCC markets;
Arabic is an advantage. - Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
