About the job Senior Business Development Manager - Air & OceanOur client is an international freight forwarding and integrated logistics provider operating across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The company supports customers with end-to-end supply chain solutions, including Air Freight, Ocean Freight, customs clearance, transportation, warehousing, and project logistics services.
As part of its strategic growth phase, the business is seeking a commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager - Air & Oceanto strengthen its market presence and accelerate business development across key industrial and commercial sectors.
This role will play a critical part in driving new customer acquisition, developing strategic trade lanes, and expanding the company's freight forwarding footprint within the Saudi market. The successful candidate will work closely with operational and commercial teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions, build long-term customer relationships, and contribute directly to revenue growth and profitability across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Identify and secure new Air Freight and Ocean Freight business opportunities.
- Develop strong customer pipelines across industrial and commercial sectors.
- Conduct customer meetings, sales visits, and commercial presentations regularly.
- Promote integrated logistics solutions including transport and warehousing services.
Commercial Management
- Prepare RFQs, quotations, and commercial proposals with internal teams.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to secure profitable business.
- Drive revenue growth while achieving gross profit and margin targets.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities within the Saudi logistics sector.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and support account development initiatives.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across logistics and supply chain services.
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting within CRM and Odoo systems.
- Track sales activities, conversion rates, and opportunity progression.
- Provide regular commercial updates and forecasting to management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related discipline preferred.
- Minimum 4–8 years' experience in Freight Forwarding sales within Air and Ocean Freight.
- Strong understanding of international shipping operations and Incoterms.
- Proven experience within the Saudi Arabian or wider GCC logistics market.
- Existing customer relationships within Saudi Arabia would be advantageous.
- Experience managing commercial negotiations and achieving revenue targets.
- Knowledge of integrated logistics, multimodal transport, or project logistics preferred.
- Exposure to industrial cargo, EPC, petrochemical, FMCG, or trading sectors advantageous.
- Relationships with shipping lines, airlines, and overseas agents preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated professional with strong commercial awareness and market understanding.
