Governance Specialist

We are seeking a Governance Specialist with 2 to 5 years of experience in the financial or banking sector to support the development and enhancement of the corporate governance framework, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement best governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and periodically update the corporate governance framework.
• Monitor compliance with governance-related regulatory and legislative requirements.
• Research and apply best governance practices locally and internationally in alignment with the organization’s environment.
• Identify key stakeholders (Board of Directors, senior management, and relevant departments) and define roles, responsibilities, and interaction mechanisms.
• Ensure effective internal controls are implemented across business processes to comply with policies, regulations, and code of conduct.
• Coordinate with different departments to integrate governance requirements into operational processes.
• Maintain and regularly update policies and procedures registers.
• Prepare periodic reports related to governance and compliance activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in governance, compliance, or risk management, preferably in the banking or financial sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and corporate governance principles.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to prepare reports and communicate across all management levels.
