The Alliances Manager is a seasoned subject matter expert responsible for managing partnerships with external organizations that are crucial to the company’s business objectives. This role is required to develop and nurture relationships with key partners to foster collaboration and mutual benefit. The Alliances Manager plays a pivotal role in building and maintaining partner relationships that contribute to the organization’s growth and competitive advantage.
Keyresponsibilities
- Develops and nurtures relationships with key partners to foster collaboration and mutual benefit
- Supports partnership agreement negotiations, ensuring terms are favorable and align with company objectives
- Collaborates with internal cross‑functional teams such as sales, product management, or marketing to develop joint offerings or solutions with partners
- Supports initiatives to integrate partner technologies or services into company’s products or platforms
- Manages go‑to‑market initiatives and campaigns to promote joint offerings or solutions
- Tracks partner performance against established metrics and KPIs
- Identifies areas for improvement or expansion with existing partnerships
- Optimizes processes and workflows related to partnership management to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Educates internal stakeholders on the value and benefits of partnerships
- Stays informed about industry trends, competitor activities and market opportunities that could impact partnerships
- Manages contract renewals and amendments as necessary throughout the partnership lifecycle
- Performs any other related task as required
- Seasoned analytical skills and excellent business acumen
- Relationship‑building skills with the ability to engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent teamwork, integrity and attention to detail
- Negotiation skills to renew partnership agreements
- Knowledge of strategic partner programs
- Great presentation, verbal and writing skills; ability to communicate complex ideas effectively across a wide range of audience levels and functions
- Seasoned network of industry contacts
- Ability to focus and execute in a changing environment
- Project‑management skills to effectively manage partnership initiatives and programs
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, computer science, information technology or a related field
- Seasoned business development experience, preferably in an IT services environment
- Experience in channel sales or channel management role
- Experience establishing and managing alliance programs that generate revenue
- History of working independently and with cross‑functional sales, marketing and product management teams to achieve alliance objectives
- Experience leveraging those contacts to build mutually beneficial partnerships to drive revenue
