the entrepreneur in residence (eir) is responsible for owning, operating, and scaling an invest tech / fintech business on a day-to-day basis
, within a saudi venture builder.
this role acts as the primary operator of the venture
, with full accountability across product execution, growth, and operational performance.
the business operates at the intersection of financial data, analytics, and investor-facing tools. As such, this role requires a combination of business judgment, product thinking, and growth discipline
.
this is not a structured corporate role. It requires high ownership, resilience, and intensity
. The eir is expected to take full responsibility for execution, make decisions under uncertainty, and drive the business toward product-market fit, scalable growth, and strong unit economics
.
1. Full ownership of execution
- lead all day-to-day operations across product, growth, and operations
- ensure alignment and accountability across all functions
- take full ownership of outcomes — both success and failure
- design, execute, and refine go-to-market strategies
- identify and scale acquisition channels based on performance
- move the business toward structured, repeatable growth
- own and optimize:
- customer acquisition cost (cac)
- lifetime value (ltv)
- retention and churn
- payback period
- ensure growth is efficient and financially sustainable
- identify inefficiencies and act quickly to correct them
- build strong feedback loops between customers and product teams
- prioritize based on impact, not internal opinions
- establish a culture of continuous testing:
- a/b testing
- funnel optimization
- messaging and pricing experiments
- make decisions based on data, not assumptions
- lead and manage a cross-functional team
- set clear kpis and performance expectations
- address underperformance without delay
- translate strategy into clear execution plans
- eliminate distractions and low-value initiatives
- maintain focus on what drives growth and retention
- continuously reassess direction based on:
- data
- product performance
- pivote when needed without hesitation
- provide structured updates on:
- performance
- risks
- maintain transparency with leadership
- strong understanding of unit economics:
- ability to diagnose and fix growth inefficiencies
- strong understanding of go-to-market strategies:
- scaling acquisition
- strong experimentation mindset:
- a/b testing
- funnel optimization
- customer-first thinking:
- ability to listen carefully to users
- translate feedback into product improvements
- passion for investing and financial markets:

- 5+ years in startups, venture building, or product/growth roles
- proven experience scaling products or driving growth
- experience working across multiple functions (product, growth, operations)
- degree in business, engineering, finance, or related field (preferred)
- practical experience is more important than formal education
- growth in active users and engagement
- improvement in cac, ltv, and retention metrics
- progress toward product-market fit
- speed and quality of execution
- team productivity and accountability
- ability to identify and solve problems early
