Procurement Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and review purchase requests from various departments.
• Source qualified suppliers and evaluate quotations to select the most suitable offers.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and commercial terms.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and follow up on their approval and execution.
• Monitor procurement activities and ensure compliance with delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with warehouses and requesting departments to verify receipt of goods and compliance with specifications.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with suppliers and keep supplier databases up to date.
• Monitor inventory levels and contribute to forecasting future procurement needs.
• Prepare periodic reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and approved regulations.
• Resolve issues related to supply, quality, or invoicing in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to cost savings through process improvements and effective supplier negotiations.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to analyze pricing and commercial proposals
• Proficiency in computer applications and ERP systems
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prepare reports and analyze data
• Good knowledge of procurement procedures and supply chain management
