Position: Procurement Specialist (SPM), SPO KSA

Are you ready to join a dynamic and fast-paced Global Procurement Organization (GPO) supporting Amazon Stores Operations? By becoming a part of EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) Site Procurement Operations (SPO) Team, you will have the opportunity to lead and deliver strategic procurement projects for our internal business partners at local, national, regional, and global levels. In the role of Senior Buyer, you will be a business partner for our sites, working in a cross‑functional environment with Operations, Procurement peers, support departments, and suppliers.

This role empowers you to procure value‑adding solutions for the business. You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement, innovation, sustainability, and mitigating legal and supply risks through your procurement mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Key SPO Performance Indicators that provide value such as savings, compliance, sustainability, invoice management and more.
  • Sourcing and Project Delivery
    • Manage the SPO Process and policy from needs detection to execution of sourcing requirements at local, regional, country and cross‑continent levels.
    • Anticipate and understand business needs, providing the appropriate procurement strategy and optimal requirements.
    • Lead sourcing, suppliers’ due diligence, negotiations, risk assessments, and other best practices using Coupa (ERP) and other tools.
    • Conduct market research and evaluate suppliers’ manufacturing capabilities to enhance and develop the GPO supplier base for current and future needs.
    • Deliver projects (RFI, RFQ etc.) with varying spend thresholds, complexity, risk, confidentiality and time constraints, analyzing solutions and making recommendations to the business.
    • Execute and support GPO projects and initiatives such as tenders, cost optimizations, sustainability, and process improvements across different scales and magnitudes.
    • Support the critical yearly peak readiness including capturing and documenting lessons learned, creating pre‑peak readiness presentations, and executing playbook actions.
  • Internal Partnership
    • Act as the face of procurement for operations on site, building effective business partnering.
    • Proactively partner with Site Leadership, other GPO teams (Category, Global Supplier Management) and key partner functions such as Finance or Legal.
    • Lead M  and Q  with internal and external stakeholders (GM, Change, RME, Vendors) and participate in key supplier meetings and internal processes such as GEMBAs and Daily Deep Dives.
    • Serve as Subject Matter Expert to add value to procurement local categories and processes; identify and leverage savings opportunities and perform spend analysis.
    • Provide functional skills trainings to other GPO members.
    • Educate and drive correct behaviors among business partners towards GPO policies and best practices.
  • Systems and Tools
    • Utilize various applications and systems to provide reliable reporting and data (ERP, Quicksight, Power

      BI etc.) including supplier performance metrics.
    • Enhance available tools to analyze and leverage opportunities and risks on spend, categories, vendors, legal and other aspects.
  • Supplier Management
    • Deliver contracts from A to Z, mastering CLM (Contract Life Management) and ensuring contract compliance from suppliers.
    • Create, negotiate, and execute contractual agreements such as Work Orders and detailed Supply Agreements.
    • Manage supplier performance as required by relevant governance.
    • Ensure highest levels of service based on quality, maintenance, cost, sustainability, lead times and other key elements.
    • Lead and support M /Q , ensuring smooth payment processes and corrective/preventive measures for suppliers.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience in procurement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • Experience in supply chain, commodity, and supplier management in a high volume, global sourcing and operations manufacturing environment with a global supply base of contract manufacturers
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) in large organizations
