Position Summary

The BD Excellence Director META will lead the adoption and implementation of the BD Excellence vision and strategic plan within META. This role supports structured growth and innovation across multiple business and functional areas. The Director partners with the META Leadership Team, drives continuous improvement processes, and ensures alignment of key metrics throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the development and coordination of the BD Excellence vision and strategy in META to foster focused growth and innovation across various business domains. Implement BD Excellence commercial tools and processes to enhance sales efficiency and enable revenue growth, gross profit improvement, and operational profit.
  • Deploy strategic plans and cascade Key Performance Indicators top‑down and bottom‑up. Support the President META and META Leadership Team in driving key initiatives through BD Excellence.
  • Develop, facilitate and lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement activities to achieve sustainable results.
  • Partner with the global BD Excellence Central Leadership Team to share best practices and drive efficient execution of BD Excellence tools and processes.
  • Lead change initiatives, challenge existing paradigms, encourage standard processes, and promote collaboration across Business Units and Functions.
  • Drive digitalization and innovation efforts at the organizational level to improve operations, patient experience, and business excellence.
  • Cultivate a BD Excellence culture and capability development across cross‑Business Unit teams. Instruct and implement fundamentals of Visual Management, Daily Management, Problem Solving Process, Kaizen, and Funnel Management.
  • Leverage Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies to structure improvement initiatives and empower associates to identify inefficiencies.
Qualifications
  • University bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required. MBA or equivalent business experience preferred.
  • Progressive sales and marketing leadership experience with a proven track record of driving processes to achieve results.
  • Experience as a sales representative, sales leader, and in commercial operations within medical devices, clinical diagnostics, or capital equipment markets.
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement techniques (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) embedded in commercial operations.
  • Certified practitioner in Lean tools highly desirable.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and change‑championing skills in person and virtually.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams and large‑scale projects in a matrix organization; multi‑site and multicultural environments preferred.
  • Ability to drive progress with limited oversight and a proactive problem‑solving mindset. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 50‑70%.
