Devsinc is looking for a detail‑oriented Cloud Fin Ops Engineer to join our team in KSA
. In this role, you will bridge the gap between finance, operations, and engineering teams to optimize cloud spending and ensure financial accountability in our cloud development projects.
5+ years in cloud engineering/operations, 2+ years dedicated to Fin Ops or cloud cost management.
Hands‑on with at least two clouds (ideally including OCI plus AWS/Azure/GCP) and their native cost tools.
Strong understanding of pricing constructs (RIs/Savings Plans/CUDs, egress, storage tiers, managed DBs, Kubernetes costs) and workload patterns.
Proficiency in SQL and one scripting language (Python or Power Shell), experience building data pipelines for billing datasets.
Experience with Terraform (or similar IaC) and governance (tagging policies, budgets, quotas).
Ability to build executive & engineering dashboards (Tableau /Grafana) and deliver clear written/spoken recommendations.
Excellent stakeholder skills with IT, Finance, and Procurement.
Key Responsibilities- Cost Visibility & Allocation:
Establish tagging/labels and account/subscription structure, maintain cost allocation (business unit, product, environment), build/show dashboards. - Optimization & Right‑Sizing for cloud services.
- Forecasting & Budgeting:
Build forecasts, set budgets and alerts, explain variance (price/usage/mix), and support annual/quarterly planning. - Define and enforce cost guardrails (budgets, quotas, egress policies), tagging standards, non‑prod hygiene, integrate checks in CI/CD.
- Manage billing exports, model unit costs (e.g., cost per transaction/journey), and publish monthly Fin Ops reports.
- Run optimization reviews with product/platform teams, negotiate with cloud providers, align with Finance on accruals.
- Ensure Fin Ops processes align with security, SAMA data‑residency, and audit requirements, maintain evidence for governance reviews.
