Role Description

The Shift Leader (FOH) is expected to oversee and ensure that brand standards and elements are applied correctly at all times, consisting of the customer experience, production time, production standards, personal hygiene, area cleanliness, food safety, speed of service, cash handling, all while maintaining a positive atmosphere and friendliness.

Qualifications
  • Ensure that the outlet is fully ready for operation prior to the start of the shift (Indoors and Outdoors).
  • Ensure salad‑bar layout is as per standard, with adequate quantities for the service period, and ingredients/batches are top quality.
  • Oversee that ingredient and batch shelf‑life is monitored and accurate with no deviations.
  • Oversee storage and ensure that there are no deviations from zoning standards.
  • Oversee operating checklists have been completed accurately, and deviations reported and corrected.
  • Oversee cashier operations and conduct spot‑checks to ensure all transactions are systematic and the monetary flow is accurate.
  • Oversee production and ensure that all products are prepared within standard time frames, following standard portion sizes, standard presentation, and take corrective action in cases of deviation.
  • Appoint employees to set stations and ensure their performance is monitored, reporting back any deviations or shortcomings.
  • Engage with customers and oversee that all clients get an impeccable experience, handling complaints if any, and reporting incidents to management.
  • Perform routine checks on equipment and devices, notifying maintenance/management of any needs.
  • Oversee cleaning and deep cleaning processes are carried out routinely and correctly.
  • Enthuse and energize the team into peak performance and lead by example to demonstrate optimal performance.
  • Ensure that cash closing and reports are completed accurately and variances are reported/compensated.
  • Take part in orientations for newcomers and soft‑trainings as required.
  • Report / elevate incidents and take appropriate action if possible.
