The Packaging Buyer Support is responsible for supporting the procurement and supply of packaging materials and consumables required for business operations. The role ensures timely material availability, supplier coordination, accurate purchase order processing, and inventory monitoring while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with food safety requirements. The position works closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to support uninterrupted operations and high service levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support sourcing and purchasing activities for packaging materials and consumables.
  • Create, issue, and follow up on Purchase Requisition s (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) until final delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely order confirmations, deliveries, and issue resolution.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support the maintenance of optimal stock availability.
  • Track material consumption, usage trends, and packaging spending to support procurement planning.
  • Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and item master data within ERP systems.
  • Assist in supplier evaluations, quotation analysis, and bid comparison activities.
  • Collaborate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to support operational requirements.
  • Support the resolution of supply, quality, and invoice discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure packaging materials comply with approved specifications, quality standards, and food safety requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement reports related to purchasing activities, inventory, supplier performance, and operational KPIs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing procurement efficiency, supplier performance, and cost optimization.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Packaging Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or administrative support roles.
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience with in FMCG, manufacturing, or packaging environments is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
  • Good understanding of purchasing, inventory control, and supplier management principles.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
