We are looking for a Category Buyer – Transportation & Transit to lead sourcing and category management activities across transportation-related spend categories, including fleet, logistics, mobility services, and service contracts. You will be responsible for developing category strategies, managing supplier performance, leading negotiations, and ensuring cost‑effective and reliable supply solutions aligned with business objectives and governance standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with operational and financial goals
  • Lead end‑to‑end sourcing activities (NDA, RFI, RFQ, RFP, tender evaluation, negotiation, and contract award)
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, SLAs, and contracts
  • Manage supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, safety, and service
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders (procurement, logistics, operations, finance, engineering, legal)
  • Monitor market trends, supplier risks, and industry developments
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks through contingency planning
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance requirements
  • Tracks spend, savings, supplier performance, and sourcing outcomes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and mentor junior team members
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, fleet, or industrial sectors is preferred
  • Proven track record in complex sourcing and commercial negotiations
  • Strong knowledge of contract management and supplier performance
  • Professional certifications (e.g.,
    CIPS, CSCP
    , or equivalent) are a plus
